Repository Policy

This policy outlines how authors of the Medical Journal of Tikrit University (MJTU) may archive and share their published work across personal, institutional, and subject-specific repositories.

MJTU is an open-access journal. Articles published under open-access licenses may be made available immediately in accordance with the terms of their respective Creative Commons licenses. Where possible, authors are encouraged to share the Version of Record (final published version) rather than the Accepted Manuscript.

Authors are permitted to reuse and disseminate the abstract and citation details of their articles (e.g., title, author name, publication date) without restriction. These may be shared through academic platforms, personal websites, institutional repositories, and social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, blogs, or X (formerly Twitter). When sharing, authors should include a link to the official version of the article hosted on the MJTU website.

Authors may also deposit the accepted version of their article in their personal website, institutional repository, or other recognized academic archive. The submitted version may likewise be self-archived, with no embargo period applied.

Through this policy, MJTU seeks to ensure the widest possible dissemination and visibility of its published research, while upholding open-access principles.
